Don’t leave Bali without trying the signature squid satay from Karangasem, Bali. At first, I thought it was just like an ordinary grilled squid with black sauce dropped on it, or I imagined a grilled squid with peanut satay sauce like various Indonesian satay, usually, chicken and goat served with a spicy-sweet peanut sauce. Well… when you order the dish you literally don’t get the whole squid (for sure). All the tentacle parts are sliced off and perfectly grilled. And the result is a nice chewy texture and flavorful squid served with special herbs and spices and… yummy! It gives you a vibrant local taste and I would like to recommend you to try this dish.
