It’s time to explore Uluwatu. If this is your first experience visiting and exploring Bali, I might suggest you explore the south Bali area. Have you heard about “Tari Kecak” or Kecak Dance before? Yes… Tari Kecak is popular to be known to some tourists as Kecak Dance this performance is very popular here at Uluwatu. Well.. aside from Seminyak or Kuta area, South Bali is where the best beaches are. Quite secluded yet pristine, all beaches here at Uluwatu are considered by many as the single best beach in Bali relatively untouched by surroundings. And it still offers crystal clear blue waters and is ready to call out the surfers. Unfortunately, there are still few people did know that Uluwatu hides a lot of beautiful beaches. I have so many options for you to explore these beautiful beaches. But in this episode, I will share my latest experience at Nyang Nyang beach.
Starting from the access… honestly, I can say the access to this beach is somewhat complicated. I used the Google Map application, we depart from Nusa Dua area which takes about 25 minutes to reach. It’s accessible by vehicle both car or motorbike. But I suggest you use a motorbike as it will be easier. Once you arrived, there will be a small path to lead you to go down to the beach. The trail to get there is rocky, uneven with many potholes. So… high heels and a cute dress are not recommended (hahaha). Just wear your casual clothes as you will get sweaty and stinky after (trust me…) and don’t forget to bring your mineral water (for sure). Usually, there are some vendors selling cold drinks close to the entrance. Be sure to buy something cold to drink before you start to climb back up! Once you stepped down, I can’t say there are many wooden stairs that lead you to the beach, it’s a row of land steps that are shaped into stairs soil so it will be easy to step down. And don’t forget to read the instruction “follow the white stones” or you will get lost. Getting there requires 20 minutes of descent down. The whole path is full of trees that create a green tunnel so don’t worry it protects you from the sun. I suggest you start the journey around 2 or 3 pm so you still have much time to explore before the sun goes down and the darkness attack. Before you leave this place, make sure to collect moments as many shipwrecks along the seashore. These shipwrecks become the icon and signature of Nyang Nyang Beach. Visitors love to do selfies and make amazing photos with these shipwrecks.
